No
The Mark
There’s a saying: “do not do to others, what
you won’t like of them to do to you”. But what
happens if you do them wrong anyway and they
do the same to you.
It will be the beginning of a vicious cycle with
no end and that represents a part of what life is
now. It does not matter if it’s done by accident
or intentionally, that wrong will follow you forever
and that’s how you’ll learn how to be better, to do
your best everyday.
Learning every lesson by the stroke of the hammer
where the sound it echoes deep at the walls of the
heart. To me it was no different, I learned to live
with it, to accept the mark, embrace it.
There’s no redemption, not because I don’t deserve
it, but because I don’t want it; it’s for my own good.
It doesn’t matter what I’ll do, I will always bear the
mark, for it will be the reminder of the wrong that
I did and hope to never do once more.
